Playing for fun

It would not be surprising to find basketball courts in almost every part of our country—from small villages to big cities. Although we have not made a name in International competitions for the sport, basketball is undoubtedly one of the most loved sports in the Philippines. When you go around small villages and in the countryside, people play basketball in small courts, many of them not even wearing sports shoes or not dressed up to play a game. Most of the time these players play solely for fun and relaxation. There are no basketball trophies at the end of each game, everybody goes home happy and would be looking forward to another game after each day’s hard work!
