Sepia Scenes: Calle Crisologo, Vigan City
![]()
It’s been a while since I last joined Sepia Scenes. There are tons of photos to convert to Sepia but I am just too lazy to do a thing. This time I kicked my butt to convert one of my favorite photos taken at Calle Crisologo, Vigan City in Ilocos Sur. This is a Unesco Heritage site because the old stone houses are still intact and the street is made of cobblestones. No vehicles could pass by in this street except for the “Calesa” (horse drawn carriage).

My first peep on a scope
Last September, the Asian Bird Forum was held in the city. We took the chance to go on the second day of the forum but sadly, there’s only a few birds left for display. I overheard birds from different countries in Asia were showcased on the first day (that’s Friday) and were all pulled out during the second (which is also the last day) day that fall on Saturday. There are lots of school children in the area so I am quite disappointed like other visitors in the area. To make use of our time there, we tried peeping at the kowa spotting scope that was set-up at the beach side
It was my first time to peep on such a telescope and I am glad I tried. So far it’s the highlight of our visit at the forum. No more, no less.
