Handheld tripod

A few minutes past five PM, the LBC delivery van pulled off in front of the gate. Yes! My quikpod handheld tripod is here! This handheld tripod travelled from the US and was passed on from one mommy blogger to the next, until it gets here in our place. 

We can take better self-portraits now. Yay!

Sometime last month, this handheld tripod was bought for me by one friend blogger. Then she sent it to another mommy blogger who is going home for a vacation from the US. It was then hand-carried and another mommy blogger claimed it for me and sent it through courier. Thanks to the kind mommies! I am giddy happy about this handheld tripod because I and hubby will be able to take our self portraits better. Taking our self-portraits has been our problem since then so now we can take self portraits without obviously extending one arm to hold the camera.

The mommy who hand-carried my quikpod also brought a negligee for a another mommy whom she met at Bohol. How sweet of her! She was inspired to buy a negligee after one Mommy posted the sexy lingerie her husband got her and caused the hype in our FB group and everybody excitedly took a peek at a  discount lingerie store.LOL. That was really a super fun conversation in FB that time that made some other mommies to get a pair of lingerie too!

Audio-visual presentations during employee relations activities

During our first paid photo gig, the shoot was outdoors because it is a company’s family outing. Before the games started, there was a short program where they set up a nice stage. I told Ace it would have been nice if they were able to set up at least one of the lcd projectors of the company so we could show the family photos taken before the program.

Should the company get our services on their upcoming employee relations activities, I’ll ask them to put up an LCD projector so we could show some photos taken during the event while the employees having their meal or taking a break in preparation for another activity. The HR could also prepare an AVP of their previous activities for the employees and their families to watch during the event.

From hobby to earning opportunity

I and hubby are thinking of taking our hobby to something that could earn a living for we need other source of income to help us pay the house. For sure, we cannot compete with those established photographers in the city so we are taking this planned business to other area. Why not in the nearby city? I already told my sister about the idea and she said it is feasible because there are only few who offer photo services in their area. Most that she has seen are those old school photography style.

She even mentioned there is no decent gift shop in their area because most are selling low quality and cheap China products. Another good business investment is a shop for personalized trophies and awards for people who needs that in their area goes to Davao to get what they needed. I am crossing my fingers this plan will be realized soon!
