I remember back when I was still in my grader days, I always had my school ID replaced. In a school year, I would have at least two or three times ID replacement. Maybe you’re wondering why, well, it is because our school IDs were just printed on thick paper. Back then, plastic ID cards were still not available in our town. I remember when it rains, the paper ID would like moist inside the plastic cover and then the prints on it and my mug shot would get ruined. Sometimes, my school ID gets confiscated because it has too many stickers on it that the school guard and even my teachers couldn’t recognize it anymore. Most often, I would misplace my ID. It was quite tough actually as every time I lose my ID, my mom would also scold me because it also costs some bucks.

But when I got to college, it was a different story. I was more careful with my school ID. Plus the fact that it was also made of plastic and that it had a nice and sturdy casing, and it also costs a bit higher than the paper ID. Being new then to the university setting, I was amazed at how fast I got my school ID. The university used an id card software where all the students information and details are stored and then there was a small booth where your ID picture will be taken. After just a few minutes, the photo will be attached to the student’s details and then it goes to the id printer and voila! I have an instant school ID. It was the technology and innovation that my elementary school lacked. But maybe, they have already adapted that technology now. Times have changed and there is also a need to upgrade facilities. Maybe if I get to visit my school again, I’d surely see changes, better changes that is.

We do have individual differences and we need to accept and live by that differences. Wanting others to change is not the best way, but instead change yourself. Wanting to change others is not based on the society’s standards but BASED on YOUR standard. If that standard is not met, you’ll be frustrated. As the old saying goes, CHANGE must start within ONESELF. So how can you change your partner if you yourself cannot change your BAD BEHAVIORS? So, before asking GOD to change your husband, look at yourself first and examine your attitude. Most probably, YOU are the cause of your husband’s seemingly “BAD” behavior that you are always pointing out. Remember, when you point one finger to others, four others are pointing towards you. So don’t blame others for your miseries, it’s your own choosing. Besides, you DESERVE it.

I don’t usually do “dress rehearsal” but glad I did tonight because it’s only now that I found out my board shorts don’t fit anymore! So I have to dig into my stash to look for a shorts that could fit in me. Glad I found one. Not a board shorts though but at least it fits me well. Now I have my outfit for swimming tomorrow and I am about to pack our bag. Note to self: NEVER FORGET THE SUNBLOCK LOTION (not a tan lotion). I easily gets sunburned so I need a sunblock.
